We are excited to announce the return of Tadaima, our community virtual pilgrimage. This year, we will be hosting Tadaima from October 11-18, focusing on the theme of memory. Now more than ever, it is important that we take the time to think critically about the histories we tell, the memories we preserve, and the lessons we leave for future generations.
As always, both live and pre-recorded content can be found on our website (jampilgrimages.com), as well as registration for our memory loss Zoom session, Generational Zoom Groups, and one-on-one consultations with our volunteers from the California Genealogical Society.
PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THIS YEAR’S TADAIMA PROGRAMMING!
We are so happy to be able to bring you more Tadaima! A Community Virtual Pilgrimage programming this year! Unfortunately, we did not receive any funding for this year’s program which is why we are offering a shorter program than we have in the past.
If you enjoy Tadaima programming, please consider making a tax deductible donation to our fiscal sponsor, Northwest Film Forum or buy purchasing Tadaima 2022 merchandise from our Etsy store. The funds we raise will be used to pay our contributors and panelists because we firmly believe that those who share their expertise with us deserve to be compensated. Our steering committee is donating their time this year.
Every little bit helps!

The onset of memory loss brings challenges to both the person living with it and their caregivers. This session will address dementia’s physical and psychological dimensions; how to best support and communicate with the person with dementia; and how to address the needs of their caregivers. Issues relevant to the Japanese American and wider Asian American Pacific Islander community will be discussed.
